Walmart Workers and Activists Stand With Girshriela Green

On July 6th, Girshriela Green, a department manager at a Walmart store in Crenshaw, CA, received a letter from Walmart Corporate Headquarters stating that she had been terminated. Green had been on medical leave for one year after being employed (and promoted three times) since coming to Walmart through a welfare-to-work program in 2009. She had planned to return to a position that had been mutually agreed upon by her store manager and doctor prior to the termination notice. Read the rest of this article here.
