Walmart Board Members Face Nationwide Scrutiny Leading Up to Annual Shareholders Meeting

Organizations across the country are calling for a change in leadership at Walmart Stores, Inc. on the heels of reports that company executives in Mexico paid millions in bribes to government officials. Shareholder groups like the California Public Employees’ Retirement System and California State Teachers’ Retirement System are withholding their support for their election of board members pending investigations into the bribery scandal.
